We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoc for a 2-3-year position at the Molecular Cognition Laboratory.
The focus of our lab is the elucidation of molecular and cellular mechanisms of cognitive function.
Candidates are expected to have a PhD in the field of neuroscience or cellular biology at the time of the starting date.
Several first author publications are required. Individuals with experience in the domains of memory formation and/or synaptic plasticity would be excellent for this position. Prior training in primary cultures preparation or biochemical techniques is an advantage but not obligatory.
In the laboratory we have several rigs for electrophysiological recording (including patch clamp, and multi-electrode array) as well as a state-of-the-art behavioral facility, and all the equipment needed to perform our research. The candidate will mainly be involved in electrophysiological and behavioral experiments.
The preferred starting date for this position is September 1st 2017, but can also be some weeks earlier or later.
